Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone star in Farah Khan’s next

Deepika Padukone (25) has clearly buried the hatchet with director Farah Khan and the buzz is that she is all set to star in the director’s next project opposite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Farah had launched the Bangalore beauty with her 2007 box office hit Om Shanti Om, which remains their only film together till now.

According to sources, the film was originally offered to Katrina Kaif, who opted out sighting date issues. Deepika didn’t waste any time to grab the opportunity as soon as the film was offered to her. Interestingly enough, Deepika has been vocal about working with both Salman and ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and with Ayan’s next venture and Farah’s project it all seems to be going as per plan for the former model turned actress.

Thought both Farah and Deepika remained tight lipped about the development, a well placed tells us, “Deepika has everything going for her. All she needs is a slight nudge to place her in the big league. And she got that from Om Shanti Om.”

If reports are to be believed then the word is that the prawn curry Deepika’s been sending over to Farah’s place seems to have paid off. Now it’s water under the bridge for both Farah and Deepika, who will start working on their film next year.
