Every student should experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of learning and personal development. Education beyond the classroom provides a framework for learning that uses surroundings and communities outside the classroom. This enables young minds to construct their own learning and live successfully in the world that surrounds them. Learning beyond the classroom to make learning appealing and relevant: when we learn by doing we retain lessons for a lifetime. It makes learning more engaging and relevant. Education beyond the realm of a classroom proffers wide ranging scope to the students to learn while doing. Good quality learning outside the classroom adds much value and massively contributes to classroom learning in a range of areas. By helping students to apply their knowledge across a range of challenges, learning outside the classroom builds bridges between theory and reality. Students take responsibility for their own learning when they participate in out of class activities and events that enrich the educational experience. Outdoor learning to supplement all academic spheres: field work related to scientific concepts and study develops free thinking and clarity of subject. Students gain knowledge through social or anthropological research and through direct contact and observation in projects related to Geography. Acknowledging and registering observations of natural phenomena and related changes expand their analytical skills. It can lead to a deeper under- standing of concepts. Visits to museums, heritage sites, places of national and international importance, help to outline the past in relation to present scenario. The students get an opportunity to relate to History with respect to religious beliefs, art and architecture, education and scientific progress along with economic and social growth.
