4 Tips that You can Apply immediately to Increase Your AdSense Revenue

AdSense optimization plays an important role when it comes to generating AdSense revenue from your website. You can drive a lot of targeted traffic to your website, but if your Adsense ads aren’t optimized well, you wouldn\'t make much money from AdSense. Below are four AdSense tips that can increase your AdSense revenue.

The color of your Adsense ad unit

When setting up color for your AdSense ads, there are several tricks that you can apply to make the AdSense ads blending well with your content pages. First of all, it is the border of your ad unit. You should set the border in white color. Then it is the ad title link. The color of the title link should be similar to the color of the link in your website. This way, you can display AdSense ad unit that will match well within your web pages.

The format of your AdSense ad unit

Choosing the format of your Adsense ad unit is something easy nowadays. You can just pick the recommended formats by Google. Google recommends formats include large rectangle (336x280), medium rectangle (300 x 250) and leaderboard (728 x 90). The one that has proven to be performing very well is the large rectangle ad format. So, you certainly want to try this ad format.

The channel of your Adsense ad unit

Google allows AdSense publishers to create channel for each of their ad units. With channel set on each of your AdSense ad units, you can keep track on which of your pages are performing well and which aren’t doing well. You can keep making changes to your pages until you found a way that can boost up your AdSense CTR in those low performing pages.

The locations of your AdSense ads

This is the most important aspect of making money with AdSense. Even if you have set your AdSense ad units well and selected the best ad format, but if your AdSense ads aren’t placing on the right locations, you’ll still make very little.

You must put your Adsense ads on the good locations on your web pages to make the most from AdSense. Now, let discuss first the locations that you shouldn’t put your ads on. The first one is the header of your site. It is on the top but visitors usually pay little attention on AdSense that shows on the header. Then the footer should also be avoided because visitors wouldn’t look at the bottom of your pages. So as you can see, ads that place on areas that aren’t focused by the visitors will end up generating bad performance.

So what are the good locations for AdSense?

The content area is probably the best location for displaying Adsense. Visitors who come to your site will pay attention on this area. If they found your Adsense ads interesting while reading your content, they would probably click on your ads when finished reading your content. Another area that you can place AdSense is the sidebar of your site. This area usually will generate some extra clicks constantly.
