One way to lose weight besides doing exercise is having a diet. You can avoid food that have high calorie or choose food that can burn calorie or gives the impression that you are full. Some food can increase your metabolism rate and some can lower your metabolism rate. If your body has high metabolism you will lose weight.

Here is some food that is good for burning fat

•    Green tea and Oolong tea. These teas are known to scientifically proven in losing weight. They come from the same plant; the difference is their processing. Oolong tea is better than Green tea for weight loss. Drink a cup of Oolong tea every time after you ate can be helpful in losing weight. Teas also contain caffeine so too much caffeine is not good for health. You should not drink more than 6 glass of tea per day. Avoid using sugar in your tea is important because sugar contain lots of calorie. You can replace the sugar with artificial sweeteners which is low in calories.

•    Many fruits contain enzymes that promote fat loss. You should try eating these fruit before you eat: apples, oranges, grape, papaya, strawberries, mango, and blueberries. One popular fruit to suppress your appetite is Acai berry. If you don’t have appetite then you won’t eat. This will lower your calorie intake and help you lose weight.

•    Vegetables are also good for losing weight because they have more fiber which makes them slow to digest. Because they are hard to digest you will feel full for longer time. You can try vegetables like beans, broccoli, chili, garlic, and onion.

•    A tablespoon of olive oil daily can lose your weight. There are many types of olive oil. The highest quality is extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil replaces bad fat with monounsaturated fat. It is also good in lowering your cholesterol by controlling “bad” cholesterol LDL and raises “good” cholesterol HDL.

•    If you like milk you should replace it with low fat milk. This milk usually has 50% less calorie than non low fat milks. Low fat milk is less sweet than ordinary milk. You can also try low fat high calcium milk.

•    Lean meat or meat with low fat is good for weight loss diet. Some examples of lean meat are red meat, chicken breast without the skin, pork loin, turkey, fish and other seafood.

•    Egg whites has very low-calorie and high protein. It is useful during weight loss because it help to repair and rebuild muscle tissue, which can be lost during low calorie diet. You can replace one egg with two egg whites which contains 32 calories and virtually no fat or cholesterol. Two egg whites have similar amount of protein as one whole egg. Before you eat white eggs, make sure it is properly cooked to avoid Salmonella poisoning.

•    Nuts gives unsaturated good fat and they are rich in omega 3 which make them heart healthy. Because they have healthy fats you will feel full longer. That is why although they have high calorie, they can help you in losing your weight. Peanuts have about 170 calories for 30 nuts while honey roasted peanuts has 150 calories for 30 nuts. Walnuts have the most calories, around 350 calories per 30 nuts.

•    Researchers found that obese people who include three servings of fat-free yogurt a day on their diet menu lost 22% more weight than those who only do diet. Yogurt contains healthy bacteria which increases the production of intestinal hormones which tell us that we are full.
